Biography

Mr. Thalassinos practices in the area of corporate restructuring and creditors’ rights. He frequently represents official and ad hoc committees of creditors and equity holders, post-consummation litigation trusts, and other significant parties-in-interest in all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings. He has experience in various facets of the restructuring process including contested DIP financing, the pursuit of avoidance actions, valuation and plan confirmation proceedings, and other matters involving bankruptcy motion and litigation practice.

Before joining Brown Rudnick, Mr. Thalassinos interned for the Honorable John E. Hoffman, Jr. of the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and in the United States Trustee Office, Region 8 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Representative Matters
• Representing ad hoc consortium of Lehman Brothers Special Financing Inc. claimholders in the Chapter 11 case of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. in the Southern District of New York.

• Representing post-consummation litigation trust in the Chapter 11 case of Lyondell Chemical Company in the Southern District of New York.

• Representing ad hoc committee of tort victims in the Chapter 11 case of Quigley Company, Inc. in the Southern District of New York.

• Representing a party-in-interest in the Chapter 11 case of SemCrude, L.P. in the District of Delaware.

• Represented official committee of equity holders in the Chapter 11 case of Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation in the Northern District of Texas.

• Represented official committee of unsecured creditors in the Chapter 11 case of Lyondell Chemical Company in the Southern District of New York.

• Represented official committee of unsecured creditors in the Chapter 11 case of Premier International Holdings Inc. (Six Flags) in the District of Delaware.

Community Involvement
• Through his membership in the Friends Council of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, Mr. Thalassinos supports the nine clubs in the Greater Boston area.

• In addition, Mr. Thalassinos volunteers at the Charlestown Boys & Girls Club College Club program preparing high school juniors and seniors for the application, testing, and transition process.

• Mr. Thalassinos serves as an admissions alumni interviewer for Vanderbilt University Law School.
