Mr. Firestone practices in the area of bankruptcy, corporate restructuring and creditors' rights. He represents official and ad hoc committees of creditors in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. He has experience in researching and analyzing issues related to various facets of bankruptcy proceedings and creditors' rights, including plan confirmation, fraudulent conveyance and preference actions, reinstatement, and valuation matters.
He completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Judith J. Gische, J.S.C. in New York and interned with the New York State Division of Human Rights, assisting in the investigation of employment discrimination claims. In addition, Mr. Firestone completed an internship with the homicide department of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. He also served as a student assistant to the National Conference of Bar Examiners in Madison, Wisconsin.
At New York Law School, Mr. Firestone was a John Marshall Harlan Scholar and a Senior Editor of the New York Law School Law Review.
