Gordon Z. Novod Named A 2012 M&A Advisor 40 Under 40 Award Winner
(New York) April 4, 2012 - - Brown Rudnick partner Gordon Z. Novod has been named a winner of the 2012 M&A Advisor 40 Under 40 Award.
The M&A Advisor awards program is intended to promote mentorship and professional development among emerging business leaders. Recipients of the 40 UNDER 40 Award, chosen for their accomplishments and expertise by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders, will be honored at the annual Awards Gala on May 3 in New York City.
"Gordon is an accomplished attorney and a sought-after advisor,” said Joseph F. Ryan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Brown Rudnick. “This honor is well-deserved, and we are proud that that he is being recognized for the outstanding work he does on behalf of clients and for his contributions as an up-and-coming leader at the Firm.”
Mr. Novod focuses his practice on complex corporate restructuring and creditors’ rights. He frequently represents ad hoc and official committees, distressed investors, lenders, indenture trustees, financial institutions, trade creditors, debtors, and other parties-ininterest in bankruptcy-related proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed asset and debt transactions. His industry experience spans the automotive, chemical, construction, energy, entertainment, gaming, manufacturing, media, and retail sectors. He has negotiated, drafted and litigated all aspects of chapter 11 plans of reorganization, valuation and plan confirmation proceedings, contested debtor-in-possession financing and cash collateral use, the pursuit of fraudulent conveyance actions, and other matters involving bankruptcy motion and litigation practice.
In 2011, Mr. Novod was selected by the editors of Law360 as a “Rising Star” in bankruptcy and corporate restructuring – one of only five bankruptcy attorneys in the country named to Law360's list of lawyers under 40 to watch.
Mr. Novod is a graduate of Emory University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
