Brown Rudnick Mentioned in Litigation Daily Regarding Mark Cuban Amicus Brief
PUBLISHED ON: 02/11/2016
The Litigation Daily recently quoted directly from an amicus brief filed by Brown Rudnick's Kenneth Weckstein, Stephen Best, Alex Lipman, Justin Weddle and Ashley Baynham on behalf of Mark Cuban which challenged the SEC's procedure for appointing administrative law judges.
From the article:
"When some people beat charges by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, they just want to put the whole ordeal behind them.
Then there's Mark Cuban.
The billionaire basketball team owner/reality television star deserves a third tag line: SEC amicus cop. After a Texas jury cleared Cuban insider trading charges in 2013, he and his lawyers from Brown Rudnick have regularly weighed in on SEC actions, submitting (invariably critical) amicus briefs."
