Ben Chapman practices in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Department. He frequently represents debtors, ad hoc committees, bonholders, and foreign representatives in Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 bankruptcy cases. He has experience in many facets of bankruptcy litigation, including domestic and foreign complex avoidance action litigation, contested Chapter 15 petition disputes, and claim allowance disputes.
While in law school, Ben was an intern for the Honorable David A. Mills of the Massachusetts Appeals Court in Boston, where he focused on appeals involving criminal, corporate and family law issues. From 2007-2008, he was Chair of Boston College Law School’s Lambda Law Students Association and Co-Chair for the Coalition for Equality. He was also a Co-Chair of the LSA Career Mentoring Program. Ben has a B.A. in Philosophy from Virginia Commonwealth University.

- Representation of the court-appointed liquidators of Fairfield Sentry Limited, the largest feeder fund to Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, in cross-border insolvency and litigation proceedings.
- Representation of ad hoc group of holders of notes issued by Lehman Brothers Treasury Company B.V. and guaranteed by Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc.
- Representation of the court-appointed external administrators of Awal Bank BSC in cross-border insolvency and litigation proceedings.
- Representation of Chapter 11 debtors in the energy regulation and storage industry.
