Aaron Lauchheimer is an associate in Brown Rudnick’s Litigation Department.
His legal experience spans complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on bankruptcy litigation. During his career, Aaron has represented both official committees as well as ad hoc consortiums in all stages of bankruptcy proceedings, including DIP hearings, confirmation hearings, contested 9019 matters, defense of preference actions, and adversary proceedings. During law school, Aaron served as judicial intern to the Honorable Richard M. Berman of the Southern District of New York.
While in college, Aaron worked for The National Law Journal where he authored a number of articles on various topics of law.
REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Representing the Litigation Trustee (and its predecessor the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors) in the Lyondell Chemical Company bankruptcy in adversary proceedings against Access Industries and the former directors and officers of Lyondell, as well as adversary proceedings against the former shareholders of Lyondell.
- Representing ACF Industries LLC in defense of a preference action arising out of the Interstate Bakeries bankruptcy.
- Representing an indenture trustee in the Tribune Company bankruptcy.
- Represented an ad hoc consortium of second lien lenders in the Green Valley Ranch Gaming LLC bankruptcy.
- Represented an ad hoc consortium of floating rate note holders in the Spansion Inc. bankruptcy.
- Represented Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Visteon Corporation bankruptcy.
- Represented Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Motor Coach Industries International, Inc. bankruptcy.
- Represented ACF Industries LLC in an insurance coverage dispute related to a Superfund Site.

Represented media company in multi-million dollar contract dispute with a former business partner over media rights.
