Demeter Kovacs is an associate in Brown Rudnick's Real Estate Special Situations and Corporate teams in the London office. He has experience in a variety of public and private company work and advises both lenders and borrowers in financing transactions with a particular focus on real estate finance.


Real Estate Finance:

Advising Queensgate Investments LLP on the EUR 215m cross-border refinancing of its Generator Hostels portfolio.

Advising on an income strip deal on a regional UK retail asset.

Advising Kildare Partners in connection with the financing and acquisition of its Scandinavian property portfolio.

Advising Queensgate Investments LLP in respect of the debt financing and acquisition of the Kensington Forum Hotel located in Central London.

Advising Karlin Real Estate Europe on their re-financing and subsequent sale of a large UK property portfolio.

Regularly advises on transactions involving some of the firm’s high net-worth and family office clients on their financing and re-financing of real estate both in the UK and overseas.

Corporate and Capital Markets:

Advising Guscio PLC, a company focused on developing IP in relation to the tracking and assessing physical literacy and development in children, of its acquisition of two subsidiary companies and its subsequent re-admission to AIM.

Advising InternetQ PLC of a management buy-out and its subsequent de-listing of AIM.

Advising Midatech Pharma PLC, a nanomedicine biotech company in relation to an acquisition of a company and its subsequent admission to AIM.

Advising venture capital and start-up companies from inception through to a variety of equity fundraising rounds.

Advising Kildare Partners of its acquisition of a large European property portfolio.

Regularly advises some of the firm’s public and private company clients in relation to general corporate matters.
