IP Litigation


Enrique William Iturralde is an associate in Brown Rudnick's IP Litigation Group in New York.
Enrique has experience representing clients in complex patent litigation, patent prosecution, and strategic IP portfolio management.  A former primary patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Enrique's technical experience spans a broad range of hardware and software inventions including: consumer electronics, medical devices, healthcare and telemedicine systems, motor vehicles, mapping and navigation applications, social networking, cloud computing, and gesture, touchscreen, and voice interfaces, among other cutting-edge technologies.
Since 2015, Enrique has participated in over 50 post-grant proceedings before the Patent and Trial Appeal Board (PTAB), including inter partes and covered business method reviews and representing both petitioners and patent owners.  Enrique also has experience in high stakes patent litigation before a variety of district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Federal Circuit.  In addition to litigation, Enrique uses his patent-examination know-how to pursue patent rights for clients in industries from industrial, military, and automotive to financial, software, and medical.   

Prior to joining the Firm, Enrique worked at Kenyon & Kenyon LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP.  During law school, Enrique served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Michael J. Davis, then-Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
