Heather Cannady oversees attorney recruitment for Brown Rudnick's eight offices worldwide. In her role, she is responsible for creating and executing on the global legal hiring strategy for the Firm, inclusive of lateral partner and associate hiring, judicial clerkship recruitment, and the summer program and other entry level hiring. Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Heather oversaw firm-wide lateral associate and New York entry-level recruiting, and APAC office human resources at the 1000+-lawyer multi-national firm, Ropes & Gray LLP. Before transitioning into recruiting, Heather was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP, specializing in commercial and antitrust litigation. She also clerked at the federal district and circuit court levels prior to entering private practice.

Heather is an active member of the National Association for Law Placement, the National Association of Legal Search Consultants, the New York City Recruitment Association, and the New York City Bar Association. As part of her involvement with the latter, Heather regularly keynotes and sits on panels around recruiting best practices, career coaching, and excellence at work. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the New York University Alumni Association, and is a past president. Heather was also a member of the University Board of Trustees of NYU.
