Weber Hsiao is an Associate in Brown Rudnick’s Intellectual Property group.

Weber’s practice is focused on obtaining patents for clients in the hi-tech and medical device industries. His patent experience is varied and includes preparing and prosecuting patents in the areas of software applications, system on chip, network security and policy enforcement, cloud services, storage area networking, wireless networking, data packet classification, pattern matching, computer aided design, and arthroscopic instruments and anchors for soft tissue repair.

Weber also has extensive experience in IP due diligence, patentability, freedom-to-operate (FTO), and invalidity and non-infringement opinions. He provides his clients with solutions to possible FTO issues, including developing non-infringement positions, invalidating blocking patents, and working with engineering and business groups to devise workarounds.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Weber was Of Counsel at Lathrop & Gage LLP.
