NEW YORK (October 2, 2014) -- International law firm Brown Rudnick LLP announced today that Peter Lambrianakos has joined the Firm as a partner and Bryan N. DeMatteo has joined as a senior associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation group resident in the New York office. Both attorneys are formerly of Winston & Strawn.

Mr. Lambrianakos and Mr. DeMatteo, both registered patent attorneys with technical degrees, rejoin Alfred R. Fabricant and Lawrence C. Drucker, also formerly of Winston & Strawn who last month became partners in Brown Rudnick’s Intellectual Property Litigation group in New York. This team has earned an international reputation for handling complex IP disputes and will contribute significantly to the Firm’s growing international IP platform.

Peter Lambrianakos focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent infringement, trademark infringement and counterfeiting matters. Mr. Lambrianakos has litigated patent infringement matters in a wide array of technologies, including computer software, semiconductors, wireless communications, telephony, computer hardware, location tracking and navigation systems, and medical devices. Mr. Lambrianakos has participated in all aspects of litigation through trial and appeal. He also has diverse commercial litigation experience.

Mr. Lambrianakos received a B.S.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law where he was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal.

Bryan DeMatteo has extensive experience litigating patents as well as other intellectual property disputes. He has actively participated at numerous patent trials in the district courts and has litigated cases before the International Trade Commission. He also regularly appears before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, (USPTO) on inter partes reviews and covered business method patent proceedings. Mr. DeMatteo’s client representations are in a variety of technical industries, including electronics, telecommunications, medical devices, robotics, computer software, and mechanical devices. In addition to his litigation experience, he has prosecuted patent applications for several major corporations in a variety of technologies. Mr. DeMatteo received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his J.D. from Touro Law Center, graduating as class Valedictorian.
